CELEBRATION OF THE 1ST INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR OF LAS SABINAS HIGH SCHOOL
Undoubtedly, one of the most important events organised by the English Department was the celebration of an international tourism fair on the occasion of Europe Day last 9th May.
This kind of European FITUR was carried out by the students of the three groups of 1st Baccalaureate in the library of our school. There the students set up different stands with tourist brochures, flags, maps, promotional videos, stickers and even food from the different countries that make up the European Union.
The fair was visited by students from other courses who listened attentively to the explanations and information provided by the Baccalaureate students, who at the end of the tour gave them a questionnaire or simply answered the questions that arose spontaneously.
This event has also been part of the programme of activities developed within the Bilingual Project of IES Las Sabinas, with the celebration of an ENGLISH WEEK, which for the second consecutive year has been carried out to make visible and disseminate activities that are carried out in English, not only in the subject of English itself but also in the DNLS of the project such as Physical Education, Technology, History and Geography and Biology and Geology.
CELEBRACIÓN DE LA 1ª FERIA INTERNACIONAL DE TURISMO DEL IES LAS SABINAS
Sin duda, uno de los eventos más importantes organizados por el Departamento de inglés ha sido la celebración de una feria internacional de turismo con motivo del Día de Europa el pasado 9 de mayo.
Esta especie de FITUR europeo fue llevado a cabo por el alumnado de los tres cursos de 1º de Bachillerato en la biblioteca de nuestro centro. Allí los estudiantes montaron diferentes stands con folletos turísticos, banderas, mapas, videos promocionales, pegatinas e incluso comidas de los diferentes países que forman la Unión Europea.
La feria fue visitada por alumnado de otros cursos que escuchaban atentamente las explicaciones y la información proporcionada por los estudiantes de bachillerato, que al final del recorrido les pasaban un cuestionario o simplemente contestaban a las preguntas que surgían de forma espontánea.
Este evento además ha formado parte del programa de actividades desarrolladas dentro del Proyecto Bilingüe del IES Las Sabinas, con la celebración de una ENGLISH WEEK, que por segundo año consecutivo se ha llevado a cabo para visibilizar y difundir actividades que se realizan en inglés, no sólo en la propia materia de inglés sino en las DNLS del proyecto como son Physical Education, Technology, History and Geography y Biology and Geology.
